Security Configuration: Secure Deployment Settings

Tags: Version 11.5

The following table shows the security controls that RSA recommends putting in place to help secure the deployment.

    • Default Deployment Setting: HTTPS is enabled by default between the NetWitness Platform client and the server
    • Secure Deployment Settings: For the best possible security between the client and the server, use certificates from CA.
    • Pros of Secure Deployment Settings: Provides a high level of protection for the communication between client and server by avoiding tampering, spoofing, and man‐in‐the middle attacks.
    • Cons of Secure Deployment Settings: May have impact on performance
    • Instructions on how to configure secure deployment settings: For instructions on installing external certificates, see SSL Certificate Guidance for NetWitness Platform
