Resolution

Check the Concentrator configuration file to determine the location the core files are stored, and ensure core dumps will be created in the event of a crash:

   # should say "chdir /var/netwitness/concentrator/metadb"
   grep chdir /etc/init/nwconcentrator.conf
  
   # should contain "limit core unlimited unlimited"
   grep "limit core" /etc/init/nwconcentrator.conf


If neither of those two lines are found, add them to the configuration file. Then, restart the Concentrator service.
