Attempt to upload a .bin file for offline license activation fails in RSA Security Analytics.Resolution
Bin file was created more than 24 hours ago.
? Resolution ? Recreate capability request bin file.
- SA Server is a virtual server that was cloned and still contains remnants of the previous instance and the Server ID (MAC) has changed. In this case user should see log messages w/ ?Response does not match system hostid?.
? Resolution (Prior to SA 10.1) ? Run through the following steps while ssh?ed onto the SA server:
o service fneserver stop
o echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
o export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/opt/fneserver/lib
o echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
o /opt/fneserver/bin/fneserver reset
Note: This command should execute quickly; if no or if does not complete then reboot the system and run through entire process again.
o service fneserver status
o service fneserver start
o After running the fneserver reset, delete the files under /var/lib/fneserver that begin with ra.
o service fneserver start
? Resolution (SA 10.1 and later) ? Hit reset in Security Analytics by navigating to Administration > System > Licensing.
