How do I subscribe to product advisories on the NetWitness Community
Issue
I want to make sure that I am notified via email whenever an advisory is published or updated for my NetWitness Product.
Tasks
All product announcements, as well as technical and security advisories, (formerly known as SCOL Notes and Advisories) are now found and distributed on RSA Link. Users can easily find the advisories that interest them, and also have the option to subscribe to them in order to receive email notifications when new advisories are published. There are four types of advisories in RSA Link, which are explained below.
- Advisory Type: Product Advisory
- Description: Announcements of upcoming releases, service packs, patches, etc.
- Advisory Type: Security Advisory
- Description: Address security vulnerabilities and how they affect RSA products.
- Advisory Type: Service Notification
- Description: Used to notify SaaS and Hosted customers of events such as upcoming maintenance, unscheduled downtime, etc.
- Advisory Type: Technical Advisory
- Description: Announcements of a technical nature, such as to report an issue that affects a large subset of customers.
Security Advisories published prior to 2019 and Service Notifications (as well as some Technical Advisories depending on the product) are only accessible to customers with valid maintenance contracts associated with their account.
Resolution
At this current time, there is no way to subscribe to new Product Advisories on the current NetWitness Community Portal. The feature request has been submitted and may be added at a later date.
In the meantime, a Community user can "Follow" individual submissions and be notified when they change, however most of these submissions are static in nature.
- If a Community user would like to "Follow" a specific Article, simply open it up and click the "Follow" Icon on the top right:
