Identify the OS version installed on a NetWitness or Security Analytics appliance using the following steps.


Resolution

Logon to the appliance via ssh or at the console as root and execute the following steps
  1. Logon to the appliance via ssh or the console as root.
  2. Run the following command to identify the release
cat /etc/centos-release
CentOS release 6.7 (Final)
  1. Run the following commands to identify the kernel:
uname -r
2.6.32-573.12.1.el6.x86_64
OR
uname -a
Linux SA-SA-30 2.6.32-573.12.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Dec 15 21:19:08 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
