How to set up password expiration period for NetWitness UI users and what happens when a user's password expires.

Resolution

Administrators can set a  Password Expiration Period from the  Administration > Security > Settings tab.

When a user's password expires, the user will get a popup asking to change his password the next time he tries to login:

Internal Comments

I wrote this KB because customer of case 01024642 required an official document explaining the behavior of password expiration. The exact behavior is not clearly explained in the documentation, I got as reference the notes in SACE-6579.
