NetWitness Live account creation Error PreSignUp failed with error Could not validate license id in Live Portal

Issue

You may face the "PreSignUp failed with error Could not validate license id" error like the following screenshot when you are creating Live Account using NetWitness Live Portal https://live.netwitness.com/registration/index.html#/

Resolution

This issue can occur when you try to create a Live Account before you have added "License Server ID" on myRSA.

You should add "License Server ID" on myRSA, map the add-ons to the newly created server, generate a response.bin file from a Download Capacity Response.

Steps to add License Server ID on myRSA : 

1-On the Sofware/License page, select the Order Location from the drop-down menu. The list of products, sales orders, and purchase orders are filtered and displayed.


2- Click on a line item, select a version from the drop-down and select the Licenses checkbox.


3-Click Download.
The Order Detail page is displayed.


4- Click Create License Server.


5- Complete the following fields:

• Copy or enter (in uppercase letters) the License Server ID in the License Server ID field.
• In the ID Type drop-down, select ETHERNET (the default value).
• In the Type drop-down, select Ethernet (the default value).
• (Optional) In the Alias field, type an alias to your Appliance ID.

6- Click Create.
The View Server page is displayed.


After adding the License Server ID on myRSA, You can register Live Account successfully.
