This document will provide a quick summary of the items that can be found within the NetWitness® Orchestrator Release Notes for version 7.10.x.

Vulnerability Enhancements

This section provides information concerning vulnerability enhancements within Orchestrator.

  • Unified View for Vulnerabilities
    Vulnerability objects now have a consolidated view, aggregating all data across Orchestrator owners. This streamlines research and reduces manual association work.

  • CVSS and KEV Data Integration
    Vulnerability objects now display Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) and Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) data directly from NIST and CISA, improving threat assessment and decision-making.

ATT&CK RQ Financial Impact Overlay

This section provides information about the new ATT&CK RQ Financial Impact Overlay that is now a part of the ATT&CK Visualizer.

  • Financial Impact Overlay
    A new feature in the ATT&CK Visualizer shows potential financial loss from attacks using MITRE ATT&CK techniques, customized by company profile.

  • Configuration Steps
    System and Organization Administrators must enable and configure this feature, including industry, currency, and revenue settings.

  • Dashboard Integration
    Financial risk levels can be filtered and visualized in dashboards, aiding prioritization and response strategies.

Navigation Redesign

This section provides information about the recent top navigation bar redesign.

  • Streamlined Top Navigation Bar
    Features are now grouped in nested menus for easier access. A new search bar and “My Pages” quick links have been added to improve usability.

  • Feature Rearrangement
    In addition to the options that have been moved into nested menus, some other features have been moved, added, or otherwise given a makeover. Some examples of these changes are the Import menu, Help area, and Settings. With these changes a, new Navigation Search bar has been added.

  • My Pages
    Up to 10 pages from anywhere within Orchestrator can be selected to appear as Quick Links. This will allow for faster transversal of commonly used pages.

Dashboard Landing Page

This section describes the new dashboards landing page where you can view, search, and take action on your dashboards.

  • Dashboard Management
    Users can view, search, pin, and manage dashboards from this new landing page. Legacy navigation is still available for those who prefer the previous interface.

Actionable Search Version 2

This section provides more information concerning the new Actionable Search feature first introduced in 7.8. 

  • Building on Actionable Search Version 1
    Building on the search engine’s ability to parse and analyze Indicators from uploaded files, as well as display and filter the data you already have in your owners, these new updates will bring even greater efficiency and flexibility to your threat intelligence workflows.
  • Bulk Search Indicators Improvements
    The ability to ingest unstructured indicator data from four more file types along with new bulk actions. You can now select multiple objects and perform an action on all selected objects, such as Add Tags, Export, and Add to Your Organization.

Recalculate ThreatAssess Score on Demand

This section talks about the new ability to recalculate scoring at any time. The new Recalculate Scoring button allows you to instantly refresh the TreatAssess score for an indicator without needing to wait for the ThreatAssess monitor to run on its predefined schedule.
