The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Settings tab enables you to configure PKI authentication for NetWitness.

The PKI Settings tab includes the following sections.

Server Certificates
The Server Certificates section enables you to import a server certificate with its private key to NetWitness Server. The following table lists the Server Certificates features and their description.
- Feature: Appliance to Use
- Description: The device to use the certificate
- Feature: Subject DN
- Description: The entity to which the certificate is issued.
- Feature: Issuer DN
- Description: The entity which issued the certificate.
- Feature: Valid From
- Description: The start date for the certificate validity.
- Feature: Valid To
- Description: The end date till when a certificate is valid.
Trusted CAs
The Trusted CAs section enables you to import a Certificate Authority (CA) certificate to NetWitness. The following table lists the Trusted CAs features and their description.
- Feature: Subject DN
- Description: The entity to which the certificate is issued.
- Feature: CA
- Description: Indicates whether the certificate is Certificate Authority (CA).
- Feature: Valid To
- Description: The end date till when a certificate is valid.
PKI Based Authentication Status
The PKI Based Authentication Status section enables you to enable PKI authentication in NetWitness. The following table list the PKI Based Authentication Status features and their description.
- Feature: Enabled
- Description: Select the option to enable PKI.
- Feature: Disabled
- Description: Select the option to disable PKI.
- Feature: Apply PKI Configuration
- Description: Enables PKI authentication for NetWitness users.
Certificate Renewal Notification
NetWitness Platform 12.5 introduces the Certificate Renewal Notification section which enables you to choose a notification period of up to 240 days before the certificate expiration date. The following table list the Certificate Renewal Notification features and their description.
- Feature: Notify
- Description: Select the days from the dropdown to set the certificate renewal notification period.
- Feature: Apply
- Description: Enables certificate renewal for NetWitness users.
