Support for Unauthorized Configurations

Summary

Due to rigorous testing of hardware and software integrations, NetWitness appliances are required to maintain component versioning within each NetWitness software release.  This includes all OS level packages as well as all NetWitness specific software.  Updating ANY packages within the version deployed out-of-band, without express approval from NetWitness Engineering can cause the appliance to become unusable or create performance issues.  Certain components are tightly paired with specific versions of other packages and can stop working if one of those packages is updated to a different version.

Please refrain from updating ANY packages on the appliances outside of the normal NetWitness version upgrade process. NetWitness reserves the right to not fix unsupported configurations out of compliance.
