System Updates Panel - Settings TabSystem Updates Panel - Settings Tab
System Updates Settings tab describes the interface you use to set up a connection to Live Update Repository. These settings ensure that the NetWitness can reach the Live Update Repository and synchronize it with your Local Update Repository.
The required permission to access this view is Apply System Updates.
To access this view:
- Go to
(Admin) > System. - Select Updates.

- Show me how: Enable automatic synchronization with the NetWitness update repository.

- Description:
Displays the
(Admin) > System > Live Services panel in which you can configure your Live Account credentials if they are not configured.
- Feature: Configure proxy settings
- Description:
Displays the
(Admin) > System > HTTP Proxy Settings panel in which you can configure an HTTP proxy if it is not configured.
- Feature: Automatically download information about new updates every day
- Description: Select to enable automatic synchronization with the NetWitness update repository. If there are new updates available, information will automatically be displayed in the (Admin) > HOSTS panel.
- Feature: Apply
- Description: Applies the settings in this tab.
