Unable to apply trial license on ESA

Issue

In our Vcloud RSA lab Provisioning of license doesn't happen . We are unable to apply the trial license or entitle it.

Error on Entitle services:


ERROR
java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: com.rsa.netwitness.carlos.clients.nextgen.NextGenException: Trusted Storage Failure


Error on applying trial license:


ERROR
java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: com.rsa.netwitness.carlos.licensing.LicenseException: Error adding data to the trusted storage: This trial has already been loaded.

Resolution

Follow the below process to reset or delete the license from ESA;


1) stop the service:
/etc/init.d/rsa-esa stop

2) then delete the directories:
rm -rf /opt/rsa/esa/trustedStorage/
rm -rf /opt/rsa/esa/conf/licenseConfiguration.json

3) then start the service back up:
/etc/init.d/rsa-esa start

Notes

Note:

For other Appliances we can reset or delete the license from Explorer view> Sys> License
