Resolution
To show what firmware versions are available on a NetWitness appliance, run the following command:
[root@NW NwDiskFw]# grep fw /opt/rsa/saTools/NwDiskFw/fwUpdateInfo.txt |cut -d: -f2 |sort -u
'BS1B'
'C188'
'C29C'
'C442'
'GS1F'
'GS20'
'YS1D'
Note: The rsa-sa-tools rpm must be installed for the above command to work.
'BS1B'
'C188'
'C29C'
'C442'
'GS1F'
'GS20'
'YS1D'
Running the /opt/rsa/saTools/NwDiskFw/nwUpdateDiskFw.py script will show if a DAC disk firmware update is available. You can then select to not upgrade at this point.
Below are some example outputs when running the nwUpdateDiskFw.py script.
[root@NWCONC NwDiskFw]# ./nwUpdateDiskFw.py
